Happy New Year!
I can’t believe how fast 2017 went and that it is already 2018! It is already off to a crazy start and I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings me. I have so many fun things planned for this year and I can’t wait to see them come to life.
We celebrated the New Year by going to bed early and waking up at 4:00 A.M. so we could be to the airport in time for our early morning flight. Currently I am sitting in our hotel room in LA relaxing! A vacation is exactly what I need to get 2018 off to a great start.
2017 was such a great year and such a hard year for me. It was full of ups and downs, but I was so grateful to have family, friends and all my readers support throughout the whole year. I am going to do a ‘year in review post,’ so I will go over all my favorite memories, but I wanted to touch base on where I’m at now.
2 weeks ago I decided to quit my job. I put in my 2 weeks notice and decided I was done. Between blogging, depression and the stress of life it was too much going on for me. My job was a big factor in a lot of stress in my life, and it added to my depression. So I wanted to take a step in the right direction to lighten that burden. They roped me into staying 2 days a week instead of quitting completely, and it will be very flexible. Which I think will be good for me. I don’t know quite what it is like to have no job yet. I am not making as much money from my blog as I would a full time job, so I think it will be a good transition phase.
This is a good thing, and also a very scary way to start out 2018. I am thrilled because it will give me more time to devote to my blog! I have only had a full time job for a long time so this is all so new for me. I am excited to find myself again in 2018; to work on myself, my blog and learn to love myself and nurture the relationships that I have.
I think 2018 is gonna be the year for me! I have some big goals and ideas. I think I am finally ready to go after them. No one is going to chase them but me. I am ready for you 2018!
xo,
Sara

Thank you so so much! It will be something totally new, but I have my fingers crossed! Yes, I agree! I love sequins for the new year.
