A Pretty Penny

On Sunday I had my family over for a simple dinner and created this simple table scape. It isn’t anything fancy, but I thought it was festive and I fell in love with Targets brass silverware so of course it was a must.

I wanted to share my favorite salad recipe that we had with our meal Sunday night. I got the recipe from my mother-in-law and it has been a quick favorite of mine ever since. 

You will need: 

+ Spring Salad Mix

+ 1 can of olives

+ 1 can of mandarin oranges

+ 1 package of sliced almonds 

+ 1 bottle of poppy seed dressing (Brianne’s is my personal favorite)

1. Mix Spring Salad mix and poppy seed dressing together in a bowl until lettuce is covered as desired.

2. Drain olives and mandarin oranges and mix in as much as desired.

3. Mix in sliced almonds.

4. Lastly put a couple olives, mandarin oranges, and sliced olives on top for garnish.

5. Serve

It is such a simple salad recipe and so delicious and fresh! Every time I take it to a family gathering people always ask for the recipe.
